What happens once you submit your work?
All submissions will go through a quality control process culminating in a review by a member of the Academic Review Board. The Academic Review Board consists of highly reputable academics. They have been carefully selected from top universities and institutions. Submissions will be judged and published solely on merit.
When submitting your work please remember:
· Do NOT include your name in the actual submission
· In the case of submitting an essay, please check the word count (an indicative figure is provided in the upload tool).
· Do provide endnotes and a full bibliography in the separate upload box tool the submission page (this does not form part of the word limit for an essay).
· Make sure you are happy with your use of english as submissions will not be edited
· When submitting an essay we recomend creating Microsoft word documents and pasting them into the upload tool.
All submissions will be checked for quality before being reviewed by members of the Academic Review Board, e.g. word count and plagiarism. Each submission will be subjected to plagiarism checks. Whether submissions with high levels of referenced information contain enough value to be considered admissible for the competition will be at the sole discretion of the Academic Review Board.
Each submission that successfully passes plagiarism and general basic quality checks will then be submitted to the Academic Review Board. Submissions will be reviewed on a “double blind” process. That means the academic reviewer will not know the academic qualification or any other feature about a participant’s background. Project Firefly will not inform you which member of the Academic Review Board will review your work. All that matters is the quality of the ideas expressed. The Academic Review Board’s decision will be final.
