My name is Michael Acampora and I am an ambitious student exploring the intersection between between Finance, Economics, Technology, & Human Behavior. I started investing in the equity markets at the age of twelve and have not looked back. I am a rising senior majoring in Economics-Finance with a double minor in Actuarial Science and Accounting enrolled in Bentley’s Honors Program. Upon graduation, I plan to enter the finance industry with the ultimate goal of managing an investment fund. My previous internships include MetLife Investments and Deloitte. At MetLife I was a member of the $70 billion AUM structured finance team. I researched, analyzed, and presented sector reports for CMBS, CLOs and Non-Agency RMBS. Additionally, I created a peer impairment analysis which analyzed MetLife's competitors' structured finance portfolio during the financial crisis through regulatory filings. At Deloitte, I worked with the business valuation group where we created and validated valuation models for a variety of assets and complex financial instruments. On campus, I was a member of the College Fed Challenge team, where we successfully competed at the Boston Federal Reserve and had the opportunity to present our economic outlook and monetary policy recommendation to the Federal Reserve in Washington DC. I am also an on-campus tutor, a member of the Economics-Finance Society where I write a blog and sit on the Executive Board, and actively involved with the Bentley Investment Group as an analyst with the Macro Group.
